Overview
AzloTV is a subscription streaming platform with on-demand video and creator live streaming. Hamza took over the existing production codebase in December 2025 and has led development since, across the Node/Express API, the Next.js site, the admin and streamer dashboards, the MediaMTX live pipeline and the native apps. Hamza's main work: moving payments into their own microservice, building creator monetization, and hardening live streaming on AWS and Cloudflare.

Highlights
- Moved subscriptions and payments out of the Node/Express monolith into a separate payment microservice (Strangler Fig pattern); entitlement changes reach the monolith as Redis pub/sub events.
- Built creator monetization: Stripe Connect onboarding with automated daily payouts, per-streamer membership tiers, SuperChat, and a merch storefront with Stripe Tax, pre-orders and guest checkout.
- Live pipeline: MediaMTX ingest (RTMP/SRT/WebRTC), FFmpeg transcoding, HLS segment sync to Cloudflare R2, and automatic failover of the ingest server to another AWS availability zone.
- Moved media delivery from CloudFront to Cloudflare R2 and Workers (zero egress fees, about 80% cheaper per TB at list prices), and run the CI/CD, staging, deploys and alerting across AWS and Cloudflare.
- Native Swift 6/SwiftUI iPhone app (widgets, Live Activities) and a tvOS app with a Top Shelf extension sharing one Swift package; Hamza maintain the Flutter mobile app (offline downloads) and is building a native Kotlin/Compose Android app.
